Requirements for Active Membership
(a must for new "Brothers")

not for Rushes or Pledges***
1.
Pay $58.50 dues by 4th meeting: Wednesday September
19th
2.
Sign intent to be active sheet
3.
Turn in service record from previous semester by 4th meeting
at midnight: Wednesday September 19th
4.
Complete rush requirements:
a)
Attend BOTH smokers: Tuesday September 4th and
Wednesday September 5th
b)
Attend 1 service project
c)
Attend 2 fellowship events
d)
Attend Blue & Gold: Sunday September 16th
e)
Attend 1 shift of bid extension: (5-9pm)
Thursday September 20th
5.
Attend brother meetings. You are allowed three unexcused
absences.
a)
Excused absences are
i.
Illness of a Member
ii.
Illness of someone in the Member’s family
iii.
A death in the family
iv.
Prior job commitments
v.
Class
vi.
Permissible excuses as judged by the VP of Membership, VP of
Service, or Committee head, as is appropriate in the situation
6.
Attend all voting meetings
a)
Rush Voting: Wednesday September 19th
b)
Midquarters Voting: Wednesday October 24th
c)
Final Voting: Wednesday December 5th
7.
Be a member of a brother committee and attend meetings
regularly
8.
Do 30 hours of service: 12 fraternity, 3 of which are
fundraising
9.
Attend Pledge Ritual: Friday September 21st
10.
Attend Initiation: Saturday December 8th
All excuses must be submitted to the VP of Membership within
one week of absence and to the VP of Service for service projects.
